The Scarf Fuel Fund offers energy vouchers to people at risk of running out of credit on their prepayment meters. Eligibility criteria are that the householder:
• Uses a prepayment meter
• Is at risk of self-disconnection due to lack of credit
• Can demonstrate financial hardship

The Financial Insecurity Fund is available to anyone living in the Perth & Kinross area who is in receipt of a low income and who is struggling financially. PKC may be able to provide some financial assistance if you are struggling with debts, including: If you have fuel debt eg gas, electricity, oil, coal. There is more detail on the MY PKC web page

Who qualifies and how do I register?

Pension Age Winter Heating Payment helps people of State Pension age to pay their heating bills. It's paid once a year and replaces the Winter Fuel Payment for people in Scotland. Check if you are eligible - Pension Age Winter Heating Payment.
If you’re eligible, you could get a payment of between £101.70 and £305.10

The Warm Home Discount is a one off discount of £140 off your winter electricity bill between September and March. You may be eligible if you claim the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit or are on a low income.

You will get Winter Heating Payment automatically if you get one of the benefits that make you eligible.
You'll automatically get the single payment between December and February. This does not depend on how cold it is. You'll get a letter or an email from Social Security Scotland telling you it's coming. It appears as 'WHP' on your bank statement, WHP stands for Winter Heating Payment.
